Slipton is a small, rural village located approximately 3 miles west of Thrapston and is within the Parish of Lowick. The village is linear in form with the Church, which dates from the 13th Century, located to the east. The village is served by a public house and is visited by a variety of mobile services. A bus service operates to Thrapston and Kettering. Kettering lies about 5 miles away and offers extensive leisure and shopping facilities, as well as main line rail travel to London St Pancras. The A14 lies a few miles to the South of the village and provides excellent access to the major roads network. Slipton is within Woodland Pytchley Hunt country and close to Fitzwilliam Hunt country. There are a number of bridleways in the vicinity.
