The three 'Giddings' form a line one mile from one another. Steeple Gidding is the most southerly of the three communities, it has an interesting medieval church which dates from the 12th century. Great Gidding is the largest of the three villages and lies about 2 miles away, and also offers a shop / post office and a primary school. Huntingdon is a large town offering extensive leisure and shopping facilities as well as main line rail travel to London King's Cross. Peterborough offers facilities one would expect from a thriving city, including rail travel. The A1(M) lies about 2 miles away, providing excellent access to the major roads network.
