Folksworth lies between Morborne on the north, and Stilton and Washingley on the south. Peterborough is situated to the south-west.

Folksworth, formerly consisting of old cottages, some post-war development, a Norman Victorian church and a rather handsome 16th Century house named "The Elms".

The church stands on rising ground between Rectory Farm and the Rectory. Less than 700 yards away to the south-west, at the western limits of the village, is the Manor Farm.
