Wadenhoe is located about 4.5 miles north of Thrapston, close to the villages of Pilton and Achurch. Wadenhoe House, to the east of the village, dates back in part to 1657. It was rebuilt and enlarged in 1858 and is, at the present time, used as a business conference centre. St Michael and All Angels Church is situated to the west of the village, it is believed that a Saxon Church stood on the present site of the Church, due to remains which have been discovered in the Church vestry, and the site of the Church has the appearance, situated as it is on a high mound overlooking the village and the Nene valley, of having been fortified in the far distant past. The whole village comes under the Conservation Area. The village is served by a general store and a Post Office, village hall, and a public house, The King's Head. Wadenhoe is in the primary school catchment for Aldwincle Trinity C E Primary and the catchment for the Middle School and Prince William School in Oundle.
