This historic village sits above the bank of Willow Brook which meanders its way into the Nene at Fotheringhay. Within the village is a public house and the 13th century church, St Mary's, the resting place of Coco the Clown. Surrounded by gently rolling countryside, the village is well placed for those seeking a rural life, without being far from shopping facilities. The historic market towns of Oundle (4½ miles) and Stamford (10½ miles) each offer a good range of shops, businesses and restaurants, as well as excellent schooling, both state and private. The city of Peterborough lies approximately 13 miles to the East and offers extensive facilities as well as mainline rail travel (King's Cross 50 mins). Woodnewton is in the primary school catchment for Nassington Primary and the catchment for the Middle School in King's Cliffe and Prince William School in Oundle.
